Playground Measurement

On this day, we went out to the playground and teamed up with Ms. Palmison's class to meausre things around the playground.  We measured them using both inches and centimeters.  They even found a dead worm to measure.  It was a lot of fun!!!

Standard and Nonstandard Measurement

Here we are finding the length of our shoes using pattern blocks.

We also measured many items around the room such as kleenex boxes and crayons.  We compared the standard and nonstandard measurements of these items.

Finding Similarities/Differences in Science

Cole brought in this turkey feather, so we used a magnifying glass to explore the similarities and differences between the feather and the hair on our arms.

Plants are Growing

Look at how good our bean plants are growing.

Animal Reports

Love the shirt!!

The animal reports were very informative.  In fact, a few of the students even brought in some specimens to go with their reports.
