Playing Memory with Fractions

Working in groups to find fraction matches.  They had to either find the equivalent fraction or match the picture with the numerical representation of the fraction depending on what set of cards they had.

Temperature Video

We are working on temperature and reading thermometers in math.  As a part of this unit we discussed what kinds of things people do in different temperatures.  This video shows how each group took a temperature term and developed some pantomime movements to demonstrate what we might do in that kind of weather.

Many of the students dressed up in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday.  We had a lot of fun seeing students dressed up as characters from his books.  We also learned some interesting facts about his life, and read some of his books.
